Rehabilitation of Rustamiyah Wastewater Treatment Plant

Rustamiyah Waste Water Treatment Plant rehabilitation works are within the sope of Iraqi Reconstruction Projects launched by Ministry of Public Works and Municipalities. Rustamiyah WWTP is one of the biggest sewage treatment plant in Baghdad with a capacity of 12.000 m3/h. The plant was started up in 1965 and extended in 1972. The following works are within the scope of rehabilitation project;

Stage 1

– Supply, installation & testing of totally 16 ea new scrapers in
primary and final settling tanks.
– Rehabilitation & Installation of 90 ea earators
– Rehabilitation, new supply, installation and testing of several
pumps for Main Lift Pump Station, Raw Sludge Pump Station,
Main Sludge Pump Station, Return Sludge Pump Station &
Final Effluent Pump Station
– New supply, installation & testing of Mechanical Screens
– New Supply,installation & testing of various valves
– Supply & Installation of Handrails, Gratings
– Supply & Installation of electrical motors and actuators in
various capacities
– Piping works in drying beds
– Rehabilitation of consolidation tanks
– Civil constructions & repair works
– Supply, installation & testing of new Chlorination system
– Supply, installation & testing of water & fuel tanks
– Rehabilitation of classifiers
– Supply, installation & testing of new gearboxes
– Supply, installation & testing of new penstocks
– Metal surface painting with coaltar epoxy
– Supply, installation & testing of exhaust fans

Stage 2

– Supply, installation & testing of totally 16 ea new scrapers in
primary and final settling tanks.
– Rehabilitation & Installation of 70 ea aerators
– Rehabilitation, new supply, installation and testing of several
pumps for Main Lift Pump Station, Raw Sludge Pump Station,
Main Sludge Pump Station, Return Sludge Pump Station &
Final Effluent Pump Station
– New supply, installation & testing of Mechanical Screens
– New Supply,installation & testing of various valves
– Supply & Installation of Handrails, Gratings
– Supply & Installation of electrical motors and actuators in
various capacities
– Piping works in drying beds
– Rehabilitation of consolidation tanks
– Civil constructions & repair works
